Premium Unrefined Shea Butter for Skin, Hair and DIY

The African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) is the source of shea butter, a fat extracted from its nuts. Raw shea butter is ivory in color, while more processed versions are white, though they are often dyed yellow with borututu root or palm oil. Shea butter is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, salve, or lotion.

The color of our shea butter varies from an ivory white to a grayish yellow, which is completely normal, as it is an all-natural product.

Shea butter has many uses, including in soap making, lotions, salves, moisturizers, cosmetics, massage oils, hair conditioners and shampoos, lip gloss, and lip balms. Many of our customers use it raw to moisturize their skin before bed or after a hot shower.

We recommend storing shea butter in an air-tight container, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dark place. Shea butter has a shelf life of approximately 18-24 months.
